The IMREAL function in Excel returns the real coefficient of a complex number in x + yi or x + yj text format.

= IMREAL(inumber)
Arguments:
- Inumber – A complex number for which you want the real coefficient.

- The IMREAL function accepts only lowercase “j” and “i”, other values will result in the #NUM error.

To find out the real coefficient of the complex numbers, Enter the complex numbers in column A and enter the following formula in Column B,
Formula: =IMREAL (A1)
Here, A1 refers to the cell name or the cell address. Repeat the same to the other cells and you will get the real coefficient of the complex form.
