This rounds off numbers to the nearest odd number. This function is similar to the other round-off functions in excel, like the Ceiling function and Floor function.

Syntax

=ODD(number)

This syntax has a single argument

  • number – This argument holds the number to be round off.

How the ODD Function works in Excel?

  • The formula rounds off the number to the nearest odd number.
  • The syntax accepts positive, negative and decimal numbers, for non-numeric values the syntax returns #VALUE! error.
  • When negative numbers are used the number is round off away from zero.

To start with, enter the numbers in the excel spreadsheet, in a new cell enter the syntax and highlight the number to include it in the formula.
