WPP is seeking a Senior Group Treasury Systems Manager to lead the future of Treasury technology within the organization. This role is pivotal in shaping and delivering the Treasury Systems strategy, reporting directly to Group Treasury. The successful candidate will manage, optimize, and transform the global treasury systems landscape, supporting WPP’s strategic transformation program, Elevate28.

The Senior Group Treasury Systems Manager will collaborate with various teams including Treasury, Finance, Technology, and external partners to drive automation, enhance reporting, and deliver significant system initiatives. This position involves overseeing cross-regional transformation projects, ensuring the successful execution of complex system and process changes while managing risks and stakeholder decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Treasury Systems strategy, roadmap, and transformation agenda, optimizing technology across a global organization.
• Deliver large-scale transformation initiatives, including system upgrades, automation, integrations, data governance, and process standardization.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering to post-go-live support.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Finance, IT, banking partners, and external vendors for successful initiative delivery.
• Act as the liaison between Treasury and technology teams, translating business needs into technology solutions.
• Manage Treasury systems governance, service delivery, vendor relationships, and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain a robust control environment ensuring alignment with governance and risk management.
• Champion innovation through automation, analytics, and AI-driven solutions.
• Drive improvements in data quality, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Support global strategic cash management and treasury transformation initiatives.
• Develop scalable support models and best practices for effective Treasury operations.
• Monitor emerging technologies and trends to enhance Treasury capabilities.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in Treasury Management Systems within a corporate or financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of UK and international treasury operations.
• Demonstrated project management expertise with a track record of delivering complex initiatives.
• Advanced analytical skills, particularly in Excel and reporting tools.
• Experience integrating treasury platforms with ERPs and banking systems.
• Proactive problem solver focused on process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
• Appreciation for emerging technologies, including AI applications in treasury operations.
