As one of the largest sports communities globally, SPORTbible thrives on passion and the moments that matter most to fans. Our Editorial Team is responsible for creating content that informs, entertains, and sparks conversations across a variety of sports, including football, F1, boxing, MMA, tennis, and golf. In this role, you will be tasked with sourcing, writing, publishing, and optimizing engaging sports content that connects with our audience through various formats.

The position involves working in a fast-paced newsroom environment, where you will support live sports and breaking news coverage on a seven-day editorial rota. You will have the opportunity to pitch original ideas, collaborate with social and video teams, and lead major editorial moments. Your contributions will be measurable, driving traffic and engagement while building new audience habits across underserved sports.

What We Are Looking For

We seek candidates with:

• Experience in journalism or content creation within a fast-paced digital media environment.
• A degree in Journalism, Broadcast, Media, or equivalent experience; NCTJ or Media Law training is advantageous.
• Strong sports knowledge, particularly in football, and a broad interest in other sports.
• Proven ability to develop compelling story ideas and write quickly and accurately.
• Experience with social media platforms and a strong understanding of audience engagement.
• Familiarity with data analytics and SEO to enhance content performance.

Working Conditions

The role is based in Manchester and follows a hybrid working model, requiring full-time commitment on a seven-day editorial rota, including evenings and weekends to cover live sports.
