Undergraduate Project Management & Control Overview

As an Undergraduate in Project Management & Control at BAE Systems, you will engage in a 12-month placement starting in June 2027, where you will learn and apply essential project management principles across various project phases. This role is based in Samlesbury/Warton, Lancashire, and offers a hybrid working model, requiring attendance at the site three days a week.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the development and maintenance of Performance Measurement Baselines, managing risks and opportunities, and ensuring change control processes are followed. You will also assist in collecting and analyzing cost and performance data, contributing to project reporting, and engaging with stakeholders through regular reviews and meetings.

Core duties involve monitoring project spending against profiles, contributing to the Baseline Change Control process, and developing project plans that outline key milestones and resource requirements. You will support the Project Manager in delivering project objectives and help create detailed schedules for monitoring and reporting. Additionally, you will coordinate projects to ensure risks are updated and maintained, supporting risk reviews and presenting status updates during monthly reviews.
