Join BAE Systems as an Undergraduate in Procurement and become part of a dynamic team that plays a crucial role in the delivery of procurement activities essential for achieving business objectives. This 12-month placement, starting in June 2027, is based at our Warton/Samlesbury location in Lancashire.

Role Overview

As part of the Procurement function, you will develop your commercial and supply chain knowledge while contributing to various procurement projects. You will work in a collaborative environment, gaining insights into how effective procurement enhances business performance and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the management of supplier relationships, ensuring regular communication and addressing any supply or service issues.
• Timely placement of purchase orders and processing of procurement requests while maintaining accurate purchasing records.
• Conduct market analysis and supplier research to identify potential vendors and support sourcing activities.
• Assist in supplier negotiations by gathering data and preparing cost analyses.
• Track supplier performance and analyze procurement data to identify efficiency improvements.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders to provide procurement support and ensure high-quality service.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must be on track to achieve at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in any subject. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
