Graduate Procurement Overview

Join BAE Systems as a Graduate Procurement Associate and become part of a global network dedicated to pioneering progress and ensuring safety in defense, aerospace, and security solutions. This role is based in Preston, Lancashire, and offers a competitive salary of £34,000 per annum along with a £2,000 welcome bonus.

As a Graduate Procurement Associate, you will collaborate with stakeholders across various business units to develop and implement global procurement strategies. Your responsibilities will include supporting negotiations for new and existing contracts, managing supplier relationships, and conducting operational procurement activities such as requisition and invoice approvals. You will gain valuable exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle, from stakeholder engagement to sourcing, tendering, and contract negotiation.

Core Duties

• Support category teams in developing and implementing category strategies aligned with business needs.
• Assist in delivering robust sourcing exercises in line with category strategies and company processes.
• Implement strategies for managing suppliers within the category framework.
• Embed responsible supply chain principles and sustainability practices into procurement activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualification Requirements

To qualify for this role, you must have obtained or be predicted to obtain at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in relevant fields such as Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Construction, Quantity Surveying, Data & Analytics, or Technology.

The start date for this position is September 6, 2027, and it is a permanent contract.
