Bloomberg is developing a comprehensive suite of normalized datasets for quantitative investment research, focusing on macroeconomic and commodity data. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager Team Lead to define the strategy and lead the development of our new Macro and Commodity Research Data vertical.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of macroeconomic and commodity markets, as well as the data analytics workflows utilized by investment managers. This role involves shaping a product portfolio that includes economic releases, commodity inventories, and other market-relevant datasets.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the strategy, positioning, and multi-year roadmap for the Macro and Commodity Research Data vertical.
• Lead and develop a team of product managers, establishing clear roles and success metrics.
• Build expertise in systematic macro and commodities research.
• Assess the commercial potential of the vertical, including market size and pricing models.
• Own the business case for product investments, evaluating client value and revenue potential.
• Engage with clients and internal teams to identify needs and validate product concepts.
• Translate client workflows into well-defined data products.
• Set measurable outcomes and adjust the product roadmap based on insights.
• Manage product specifications and delivery across various teams.
• Ensure product cohesion and adherence to design standards.
• Represent the vertical to stakeholders and assist sales teams.
• Stay informed about financial market developments and competitive landscapes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in product management or financial data.
• Strong knowledge of macroeconomic or commodity markets.
• Practical understanding of quantitative investment workflows.
• Experience in defining product strategy and making commercial decisions.
