Bloomberg is seeking a Senior Data Management Professional to join their Sustainable Finance Regulatory Data team as a Data Product Owner. This role is critical in managing the data strategy and roadmap for environmental regulatory data products, which are increasingly important for clients navigating climate change and regulatory pressures.

As a Data Product Owner, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and managing the data management strategy, operating model, and roadmap for environmental regulatory data products such as EU Taxonomy, SFDR, and CSRD.
• Continuously enhancing the content model, quality standards, and criteria for each product to meet client needs.
• Collaborating with Engineering and Product teams to refine data models, metadata structures, and workflow tools that support scalable and high-quality data products.
• Designing and improving quality management frameworks and governance processes to ensure data products are trusted, auditable, and scalable.
• Establishing and monitoring measurable metrics for data product health, including quality, coverage, timeliness, lineage, and transparency.
• Translating changing regulatory requirements into actionable data requirements and product enhancements.
• Defining data content and annotations that facilitate both human and AI-assisted data collection.
• Identifying opportunities to modularize, automate, and streamline workflows, transitioning from one-off projects to a reusable operational framework.
• Utilizing strong product thinking and technical skills to drive the strategic development of products and processes, ensuring quality metrics are established and utilized for workflow improvement.
• Gaining a deep understanding of client workflows, market trends, and regulatory changes to recommend data-driven enhancements and prioritize investments.
• Maintaining and evolving an iterative roadmap based on data-driven prioritization.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in data management, focusing on data quality, governance, metadata management, data modeling, and lifecycle management.
• In-depth knowledge of environmental regulatory reporting frameworks such as SFDR, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, PAB, CTB, and related disclosure requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing effective quality management frameworks and measurable data quality controls.
• Ability to translate regulatory, technical, and data quality concepts into clear requirements and stakeholder-ready documentation.
• Experience in defining data content and annotation standards for both human and AI-assisted data collection.
• Proven track record in defining data models, content standards, or metadata structures that support scalable and reusable data products.
• Experience managing the complete lifecycle of a data product, from requirements gathering and design to delivery, measurement, and continuous improvement.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern AI-assisted development tools, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering on data architecture and implementation.
• Experience applying generative AI and AI-assisted tools to enhance data management workflows and operational efficiency.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
