As one of the largest sports communities globally, SPORTbible is dedicated to delivering engaging content that resonates with sports fans. Key Responsibilities

• Source, write, publish, and optimize engaging sports content that resonates with the audience.
• Contribute to live sports coverage and breaking news as part of a seven-day editorial rota.
• Pitch original story ideas and develop repeatable content formats in collaboration with social and video teams.
• Measure the impact of content through traffic and engagement metrics, while fostering new audience habits.
• Create content across various formats, including long-form journalism, trending news, and exclusive features.

Requirements

• Experience as a Journalist, Social Editor, Social Journalist, or Content Creator in a fast-paced digital newsroom.
• A degree in Journalism, Broadcast, Media, or equivalent experience; NCTJ or Media Law training is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of sports, particularly football, and a keen interest in other sports like F1, boxing, MMA, and more.
• Proven ability to generate compelling story ideas and write quickly and accurately under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital publishing, along with a strong understanding of audience engagement.

This position is based in Manchester and follows a hybrid working model, requiring full-time commitment with a seven-day editorial rota, including evenings and weekends. Please note that this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
