We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a high-growth global software company based in Cambridge, specializing in secure remote access technology. This position offers the chance to work on a vital web platform that serves thousands of customers worldwide, playing a crucial role in the company’s commercial and product ecosystem.

The Portal is integral to various internal and external systems, allowing customers to sign up, manage their accounts, purchase services, and access cloud-based functionalities. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering new features, enhancing existing functionalities, and continuously improving the platform’s performance, security, and user experience.

Your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and platform teams, to develop robust and scalable solutions that support the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of a critical web platform that supports thousands of users globally.
• Implement new features and enhance existing functionalities to improve performance, security, and user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and platform teams to create scalable solutions that align with business objectives.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in building web applications using Python.
• Familiarity with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or Pyramid.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and modern frontend build tools like Webpack.
• Experience in creating interactive UI components utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of templating languages such as Jinja2 or Django templates.
• Ability to consume and integrate APIs effectively.
• Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible is a plus.
• Experience in an Agile/Sprint-based development environment is desirable.
