We are looking for an experienced Contract Quality Engineer to take charge of PPAP activities within an aerospace manufacturing setting. This position is focused on the preparation, submission, and approval of PPAP documentation, ensuring compliance with AS9100 and specific customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation, coordination, and submission of complete PPAP documentation, including PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, Process Capability Studies, and PSWs.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and customer teams to ensure PPAP approval meets the required aerospace standards.
- Validate manufacturing processes to confirm they are ready for production release.
- Manage and support FAI (AS9102) and APQP/AS9145 deliverables related to PPAP.
- Drive data accuracy, traceability, and compliance across all quality records.
- Provide technical support on PPAP and related quality documentation throughout the contract period.
Experience & Skills
- Proven track record in delivering PPAPs within aerospace or precision engineering sectors.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100D, APQP, and AS9145.
- Hands-on experience with PFMEA, MSA, SPC, and process validation.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and meet customer milestones.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation control.
