The Imaging Department at Newham University Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Radiographer to join their team. This role is pivotal in supporting the department to achieve its activity and quality improvement goals, as well as meeting diagnostic and cancer performance standards.

The successful candidate will be a skilled radiographer dedicated to providing high-quality patient care while maintaining professional standards. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, delivering a comprehensive imaging service across various modalities and clinical specialties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct safe, effective, and high-quality radiographic examinations.
  • Ensure excellent patient care and experience at all times.
  • Support junior staff, students, and newly qualified radiographers.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, radiation safety, and departmental audits.
  • Participate in delivering a safe and efficient imaging service, including shift and weekend work as required.

Requirements

  • BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers, or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Evidence of specialist training to postgraduate diploma level.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of general imaging techniques and clinical governance issues.
  • Experience in on-call and out-of-hours roster duties.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
