As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will leverage your technical knowledge to lead intricate, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to outline requirements, assess risks, manage project timelines, and maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement global designs for data center fiber and plan capacity to enhance infrastructure efficiency and scalability.
  • Manage complex technical programs focusing on fiber design engineering and network capacity planning to address current and future infrastructure needs.
  • Oversee inventory and capacity management for Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP), ensuring precise asset tracking and resource allocation.
  • Develop comprehensive reporting systems for all projects, offering stakeholders clear insights into milestones, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate effectively with engineering teams, operations, and external vendors to ensure alignment of technical execution with strategic deployment schedules.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • RCDD certification is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in Fiber Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) Engineering.
  • Familiarity with fiber construction, installation, testing, capacity management, and reporting.
  • Preferred: 8 years of industry experience, including 5 years in critical infrastructure facilities such as data centers, labs, or hospitals.
  • Experience in gathering customer or product requirements for data center construction.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively, demonstrating excellent attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
