Join a dynamic team at Arup as a Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering geotechnical engineering solutions across various sectors. Our Ground Engineering team, based in the Midlands, Wales, and West, is dedicated to transforming complex ground conditions into safe and sustainable outcomes.

This position offers the chance to engage in a diverse range of projects, including data centers, infrastructure upgrades, and flood alleviation schemes. You will lead design teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to significant infrastructure developments while enhancing your skills in project leadership and sustainability-led design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead geotechnical engineering projects from site investigation to design and construction.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and construction partners.
  • Manage ground investigations and develop comprehensive ground models.
  • Prepare and implement UK specifications for various geotechnical works.
  • Utilize geotechnical software for effective data management and design.
  • Contribute to project leadership and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience in geotechnical design, including foundations and earthworks.
  • Ability to lead and interpret ground investigations effectively.
  • Knowledge of consultancy services and construction contracts.
  • Relevant degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or related field.
  • Professional qualification through recognized engineering bodies.
  • Collaborative and adaptable approach to managing multiple projects.
