Join Arup as an Industrial Placement in Civil Engineering focused on Site Development in Birmingham. This 10-12 month internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects from day one. You will contribute to real-world challenges while building your professional network and gaining valuable insights through regular learning sessions with leadership, site visits, and social events.

Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, analyses, and designs, as well as preparing design reports, drawings, calculations, and specifications. You will develop infrastructure designs for urban development sites, focusing on urban transport, site infrastructure, pavements, utilities, and drainage solutions. Collaboration with colleagues from various disciplines and engagement with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders will be key aspects of your role, along with utilizing specialized software such as Infodrainage, GIS, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and others.

To qualify for this position, you should be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with skills in Civil 3D and MicroStation.
