Graduate Project Management & Control Overview

As a Graduate in Project Management & Control at BAE Systems, you will embark on a journey to learn and apply essential project management principles across various stages of project development. This role is based in Samlesbury/Warton, Lancashire, and involves a hybrid working model, requiring attendance at the site three days a week.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the development and maintenance of Performance Measurement Baselines, managing risks and opportunities, and overseeing change control processes to ensure proper governance and budget alignment. You will also assist in collecting and analyzing cost and performance data, contributing to project reporting, and engaging with stakeholders through regular reviews and meetings.

Core Duties

• Monitor and track project expenditures against established profiles, collaborating with Project Teams to address any discrepancies.
• Support the Baseline Change Control process.
• Contribute to the development of project plans, detailing key milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Assist the Project Manager in achieving project delivery goals.
• Develop detailed and summary schedules for effective project monitoring and reporting.
• Coordinate project activities to ensure risks are updated and maintained, supporting risk reviews and presenting risk status during monthly meetings.

To qualify for this role, you must have achieved or be predicted to achieve a minimum of a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in relevant subjects such as STEM, Business, Finance, Legal, Project Management, or IT.

This position offers a competitive salary of £34,000 per annum, along with a £2,000 welcome bonus, and emphasizes lifelong learning and meaningful work.
