We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 5 Radiographers to join our dedicated team at Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a patient-centered Radiology department that is currently undergoing refurbishment.
The successful candidates will participate in a comprehensive preceptorship program designed to support their transition into the department. The role involves working full-time, with a commitment to a 24/7 shift system, which includes various shift patterns such as 9-5, 12-hour day/night shifts, and weekends.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide high standards of care to all service users.
- Deliver high-quality imaging services while adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a continuous professional development record in line with HCPC requirements.
- Engage in departmental quality assurance initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Essential: BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or DCR (R) and current HCPC registration.
- Desirable: Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Essential: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Desirable: Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Desirable: Welsh language speaking and listening skills at Level 3 or above.
- Essential: Familiarity with Samsung DR equipment.
- Desirable: Knowledge of IR(ME)R 2017 guidelines.
