The Regulatory and Litigation Counsel position at Google involves joining a dedicated team focused on managing the company’s legal strategies in response to regulatory inquiries and litigation. Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s responses to regulatory inquiries, investigations, and litigation, including enforcement actions and related civil matters.
- Oversee the collection and production of information required for external submissions and disclosures.
- Provide legal counsel regarding government and regulatory audits and examinations.
Requirements
- Possess a JD, LL.B., or equivalent legal degree, or have equivalent practical experience.
- Must be admitted to the bar and in good standing, or otherwise authorized to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Have at least 7 years of attorney-level experience, which can be gained through government service, in-house roles, or at a law firm.
- Demonstrate experience in cross-border litigation or regulatory defense within the EMEA region.
- Have a background in legal, regulatory, and litigation matters, particularly in minimizing and managing regulatory risks.
- Experience with affirmative litigation, including judicial reviews, class actions, or litigation before the EU Court of Justice.
