As a Debugger Software Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to creating debug tools that empower Arm’s partners to develop exceptional software for embedded devices. These devices are integral to mobile applications, gaming, Android, Linux, machine learning, and enterprise solutions. Your role will be crucial in enhancing the silicon infrastructure that supports the AI revolution.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within an Agile team to develop Java and C++ based debugging tools.
  • Engage in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirement clarification, design, development, and deployment of new features.
  • Implement new functionalities for the suite of debug tools, such as Arm Debugger within Development Studio.
  • Develop firmware for the DSTREAM family of high-performance debug and trace probes.

Requirements

  • Proficient understanding and practical experience in Java and/or C++ programming.
  • Strong abstract reasoning skills with the ability to focus on key concepts at various levels of detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience with Python scripting and using the Linux command line.
  • Demonstrated high level of proactivity and initiative.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with embedded software development.
  • Familiarity with embedded debug tools like Arm Development Studio or Keil MDK and associated JTAG or SWD debug probes.
  • Knowledge of Visual Studio Code.
  • Experience with build automation tools such as Maven.
  • Test development using Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins or Robot.
