Join G-Research as a Data Science Intern for a 10-week summer program, where you will gain invaluable experience in a leading quantitative research firm. This internship runs from June 21 to August 27, 2027, with working hours from 09:00 to 17:30, based in Central London.

As a Data Science Intern, you will delve into the complexities of financial markets, applying scientific techniques to identify patterns in large, noisy datasets. Your mission will be to assist in discovering, enriching, and analyzing data sources that will drive future research initiatives. You will leverage your skills in data blending, statistical analysis, and machine learning to enhance the way we analyze, validate, and visualize diverse data sources. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of tools that support data science efforts across the company.

This role places you at the forefront of the company’s data strategy, allowing you to tackle significant data challenges and make a meaningful impact from day one. You will work alongside industry-leading data scientists and financial experts, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies in a high-growth industry.

Who Are We Looking For?

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate, master’s, or PhD degree in a quantitative field.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable applying statistical concepts to real-world data.
• Experience with Python for exploratory data analysis and visualization.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in financial markets.
• Ability to work independently on research projects and a willingness to learn.

Additional beneficial skills include:

• Active GitHub or Kaggle profiles.
• Experience in selecting, developing, and refining machine learning models.
• Knowledge or interest in natural language processing.
• Demonstrable proficiency in statistical data analysis.
