Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a large team to ensure operational areas meet demand.
- Utilize analytical skills to enhance the functionality and service levels of Fulfillment Centers, Sortation Centers, and Delivery Stations.
- Analyze data, map processes, and identify problems to propose and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with managers, technology teams, and front-line associates to address complex operational challenges.
- Maintain safety standards within the team and across the operational site.
- Monitor and improve process efficiency while prioritizing routine team management and daily operational tasks.
- Engage in individual escalations, process improvement initiatives, and operational contingency planning.
- Work closely with colleagues and external partners to meet customer demands and operational targets.
About the Team
The Customer Fulfillment (CF) team is the backbone of Amazon, having evolved from a small group of booksellers to a sophisticated global team handling over 1.5 million orders daily. This team is crucial in managing dynamic inventory and ensuring speedy deliveries, often referred to as the ‘First Mile’ of Amazon’s operations.
Qualifications
- Experience in operations management.
- Experience working with or evaluating AI systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, whether internal or external.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
