Some Airbnb’s Android customers received a push notification from Airbnb that said: “Test dev.” today. Apparently the error occurred early morning today, and it looks like quite a few users have received this test push notification based on recent tweet from users.
While I don’t have the Airbnb app installed on my phone, My wife does have the app installed and she received the message. It was a bit of surprise at first but being a developer myself, we understand what would have potentially happened, so we just ignored it.
The “Test dev” notification may have been sent by error by an mobile app developer.
