Technology – Data Analytics & Modelling – 2027 Summer Internship Program Overview

Company Name Blackrock
Job Role Technology – Data Analytics & Modelling – 2027 Summer Internship Program
Qualifications Bachelor’s
Category IT Jobs
Job Type Internship
Location Edinburgh

The Summer Internship Programme at BlackRock is an immersive eight-week experience designed for students, running from June to August. This program aims to provide a challenging and supportive environment that closely resembles the role of a full-time analyst at the firm.

The internship begins with an orientation session that offers a detailed overview of BlackRock, including insights from senior leaders. Following this, interns will undergo on-the-job training and will be assigned daily responsibilities that contribute to their respective teams throughout the summer.

Interns will also have the opportunity to participate in a speaker series, receive mentorship, and engage in various networking activities, including interactions with employee networks. Successful interns may consider applying for the Full-Time Analyst Programme upon completion of their internship.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the internship, candidates must be in their penultimate year of studies, graduating from an undergraduate or master’s degree program in 2028. Applications are accepted from students across all degree disciplines. It is important to note that local language fluency is required for positions in Continental Europe, while only English is necessary for roles in Budapest or within Private Markets Investing in Zurich.

Applicants are permitted to apply for only one program (e.g., Summer Internship Programme or Quantitative Master’s Internship Programme) and may select up to two functions within that program. It is crucial to submit both applications under the same program application, as withdrawing an application will prevent resubmission for the current year.

Application Process

After submitting an application, candidates will receive an email prompting them to complete a pre-interview assessment, which must be submitted within five days to avoid automatic withdrawal of the application.

Application Deadlines

  • London, Paris, Zurich – 30 September 2026
  • Edinburgh, Milan, Amsterdam – 30 October 2026
  • Budapest, Belgrade, Frankfurt, Munich, Copenhagen – 13 November 2026
  • Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Riyadh – 31 January 2027

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and early applications are encouraged.
