The 2027 Summer Internship Program at BlackRock offers a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the financial technology sector through an eight-week internship running from June to August. This program is tailored to provide participants with a challenging and supportive environment that closely resembles the experience of a full-time analyst at BlackRock.
The internship kicks off with an orientation that provides a comprehensive overview of the firm, featuring insights from senior leadership. Following this, interns will engage in on-the-job training and will be entrusted with daily responsibilities that contribute to their respective teams throughout the summer. The program also includes a speaker series, mentoring opportunities, and various networking events, allowing interns to connect with employee networks.
To be eligible for this internship, candidates must be in their penultimate year of study and expected to graduate from an undergraduate or masterâs degree program in 2028. Applications are welcome from students of any degree discipline. It is important to note that local language fluency is required for positions in Continental Europe, while only English is necessary for roles based in Budapest or within Private Markets Investing in Zurich.
Applicants should be aware that they can only apply for one program (such as the Summer Internship Program or the Quantitative Masterâs Internship Program) and may select up to two functions within that program. If an application is withdrawn, it cannot be resubmitted for the current year.
After submitting an application, candidates will receive an email prompting them to complete a pre-interview assessment, which must be submitted within five days to avoid automatic withdrawal of the application.
Application deadlines vary by location: for London, Paris, and Zurich, the deadline is September 30, 2026; for Edinburgh, Milan, and Amsterdam, it is October 30, 2026; for Budapest, Belgrade, Frankfurt, Munich, and Copenhagen, it is November 13, 2026; and for Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, and Riyadh, it is January 31, 2027. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged.
BlackRock is committed to equal employment opportunities and fair treatment for all employees and applicants. The firm adheres to a strict non-discrimination policy and is dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities during the employment process.
