We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to join a well-established technology company based in Cambridgeshire. This organization has been a leader in remote access and connectivity solutions for over twenty years, with their software trusted by millions globally across various sectors including technology, healthcare, and media.
The successful candidate will become part of a collaborative QA team, playing a crucial role in the complete testing lifecycle, from feature inception to release. You will be responsible for writing and maintaining Python-based automated tests, enhancing the existing test framework, and improving testing processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the complete testing lifecycle, from the initial feature conception to the final release.
- Collaborate closely with developers to write and maintain automated tests using Python.
- Enhance the existing test framework to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to the refinement of testing processes across the organization to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in automated software testing with a focus on Python.
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Proficient in source control and bug reporting practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or remote work environment.
Desirable Experience:
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, performance or security testing, and web technologies such as Selenium.
- Experience with Jenkins/Groovy and Atlassian tools.
- ISTQB certification is a plus.
