We are seeking a skilled Senior User Researcher to join our expanding digital consultancy, focusing on intricate transformation programs in both public and private sectors. This senior consulting position requires more than just conducting research; you will lead research efforts in complex problem areas, influence service design decisions, collaborate with multidisciplinary Agile teams, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders.

Your role will involve advising clients on intricate issues through user research, human-centered design, and Agile methodologies. You will plan and conduct research to uncover user needs, behaviors, motivations, and pain points, translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations that shape service and product design.

As part of a multidisciplinary Agile team, you will work alongside service designers, interaction designers, developers, product owners, and other specialists. You will lead research activities throughout the design and delivery lifecycle, helping teams leverage research evidence for informed design and product decisions. Your responsibilities will also include leading workshops, interviews, usability testing, and advocating for inclusive and accessible user research practices.

Building strong relationships with senior clients and stakeholders is crucial, as you will need to challenge assumptions and manage difficult conversations effectively. You will also mentor and support other user researchers through line management, coaching, and knowledge sharing, while contributing to recruitment and internal capability development.

To be successful in this role, you should have significant experience as a User Researcher, with a strong background in user research methodologies across various environments. Proven experience in multidisciplinary Agile teams and delivering user-centered design projects is essential. You should possess a solid understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods, as well as experience addressing accessibility and assisted-digital needs.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are vital, along with the ability to mentor and manage other User Researchers. A strong understanding of Agile roles and responsibilities, as well as confidence in navigating complex problem spaces, will be key to your success.
