We are collaborating with a prominent global consultancy that is looking for experienced Senior Java Engineers to join their specialized payments engineering team. This team is responsible for delivering large-scale transformation programs within the banking sector, providing an exciting opportunity to work on complex payment processing platforms for major financial institutions. The role involves modernizing critical systems through cloud technologies, advanced engineering practices, and innovative payments frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise-scale payment processing solutions.
• Build cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
• Work within AWS environments to deliver resilient and scalable platforms.
• Support the implementation of modern payment solutions and integrations.
• Develop event-driven services using messaging technologies such as Kafka.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Work closely with banking clients on critical transformation initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong commercial experience with Java development.
• Expertise in Spring Boot and microservices-based architectures.
• Experience working within AWS cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging solutions.
• Strong understanding of ISO 20022 payments standards.
• Hands-on experience with the ICON IPF framework.
• Experience working with major banking or financial services organizations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
