Join ExxonMobil as a Senior European Gas Originator / Structured Trader in London, where you will play a pivotal role in developing and commercializing our European gas portfolio. This position is part of our front-office Europe Gas & Power Trading team, focusing on leveraging technology and innovation to meet the growing energy demands globally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and commercialize ExxonMobil’s European gas portfolio, focusing on both existing and new markets.
• Identify, structure, negotiate, and execute large trading profit and loss through various structured deals, including primary/bilateral and physical/virtual transactions.
• Collaborate with Traders, Quants, and Structurers to maximize risk-adjusted returns across a diverse range of asset types such as storage, pipelines, and price index optionality.
• Leverage market and counterparty insights to identify key counterparties that can enhance the profitability of specific deals, facilitating deal capture with European storage and transportation operators.
• Engage with other trading businesses regarding the purchase and sale of secondary storage entitlements, capacity transfers, and gas-in-store opportunities.
• Advise on asset optimization strategies and provide commercial support during operational events.
• Contribute to ExxonMobil’s trading and portfolio strategy while leading the growth of organizational capabilities and culture.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Gas Originator or Structured Trader, with a track record of delivering high-value flow and structured products.
• In-depth knowledge of European gas markets, including complex asset price risk, volatility, and hedging mechanisms.
• A deal-focused mindset with accountability for profit and loss on structured gas deals, along with experience in various bilateral commodity agreements.
• Expertise in primary infrastructure auctions and experience managing a wide range of bilateral auctions.
• Experience in developing new gas trading capabilities and implementing new trading structures.
