An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead the Neonatal Centre and COMET Transport Services at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. This role is crucial for providing strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to vulnerable patients and their families.
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operational management, performance, and strategic development of both services. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic and operational leadership across the Neonatal Centre and COMET Transport Services.
- Ensuring safe, effective, and efficient service delivery in line with organizational objectives and healthcare standards.
- Leading and supporting multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
- Managing budgets, workforce planning, performance targets, and service development initiatives.
- Driving continuous improvement, governance, and quality assurance processes.
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a first degree or equivalent experience, extensive knowledge of healthcare provision, and significant operational management experience within the healthcare sector. They should demonstrate a commitment to the Trust’s values and behaviors, have a proven track record of meeting challenging operational targets, and possess strong communication and analytical skills.
In return, the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from £57,528 to £64,750 per year, along with a permanent contract and full-time working hours. The Trust is committed to professional development and offers a supportive work environment that promotes staff wellbeing.
