We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team at Rayleigh Vets for Pets. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills while maintaining a great work-life balance. Our practice is open to both full-time and part-time hours, providing flexibility to accommodate your preferred working pattern.

The Role

As part of our dedicated team, you will work alongside a Head Veterinary Surgeon, two Veterinary Surgeons, four Registered Veterinary Nurses, one Student Veterinary Nurse, and four Veterinary Care Assistants. You will be responsible for managing routine medical and surgical cases, and you should be comfortable working independently when necessary. For full-time positions, the weekend rota requires working one in four weekends, with Saturday shifts from 9am to 5pm and Sunday shifts from 10am to 4pm. Importantly, there are no on-call, bank holiday, or out-of-hours (OOH) requirements.

Rayleigh Vets for Pets is a standalone, purpose-built facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a loyal, growing client base. You will join a supportive team led by our Head Veterinary Surgeon, where clinical development is encouraged, and you will have the freedom to practice your skills. The beautiful Essex coastline and surrounding open spaces are also right at your doorstep.
