Engineering Manager – Platform Overview

Anaplan is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Environment Tooling team within Platform Engineering, playing a key role in our DevOps and Platform transformation efforts. This team is essential to our organization, responsible for maintaining our GitOps deployment pipeline and enhancing developer experience tooling.

The Engineering Manager will oversee a team of six engineers, focusing on coaching and mentoring to foster individual growth while ensuring operational stability and strategic initiatives are balanced. The role involves collaborating with various teams to align on project goals and deliver value through Agile methodologies.

• Leadership & People Management: Lead and mentor a high-performing team, promoting career development and a healthy team culture.
• Agile & Process Execution: Implement Agile practices to refine processes and manage project commitments effectively.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other managers and leaders to ensure alignment on shared objectives.
• Project & Initiative Delivery: Manage the delivery of Environment Tooling initiatives from planning to execution.
• Platform Ownership & Operations: Oversee the engineering ownership and operational support for Argo CD and feature flagging infrastructure.
• Strategic Vision: Establish the team as the authority for non-production environments and develop orchestration systems for environment management.
