Endoscopy Staff Nurse Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Endoscopy Staff Nurse to join our nursing team at Stepping Hill Hospital. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 37.5 hours of work per week over four days. The successful candidate will be a motivated team player with a flexible approach and a commitment to professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing various endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, bronchoscopy, PEG insertion/removal, and ERCP.
• Participate in the 24-hour on-call rota as required.
• Exhibit excellent communication and decision-making skills in daily tasks.
• Work flexibly across the working week to meet service needs.
• Reflect the Trust’s vision and values in all aspects of work.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults by adhering to Trust policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK.
• Essential experience in delivering patient care and working in clinical settings.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Demonstrated resource management and teamwork capabilities.
• Proficient in computer literacy.
• Desirable: Experience in endoscopy and relevant post-registration courses.
