CNC Machinist Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a precision engineering company located in Bristol. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controls and 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
• Manufacture high-precision components from various materials, adhering to complex specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings accurately to ensure precise manufacturing.
• Ensure all produced components meet strict quality standards and specifications.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and plug gauges.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in setting and operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines.
• Strong understanding of machining principles and manufacturing techniques.
• Ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
• Experience in the aerospace sector is preferred but not mandatory.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small engineering team.
