Clinical Services Manager – Surgery Care Group – Band 8a Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Clinical Services Manager within the Surgery Care Group at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. This role is pivotal in ensuring the provision of safe, effective, and efficient services, working closely with the Clinical Lead and Matron while reporting to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the operational aspects of the specialties, ensuring the achievement of performance objectives within national and Trust frameworks.
• Collaborate with Clinical Leads and Matrons to plan and implement changes that enhance patient care services.
• Provide line management to the Directorate management support team as required.
• Travel to various Trust sites approximately two days a week to oversee operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Essential: First degree (BSc or BA) or equivalent experience, along with evidence of continuous professional development.
• Desirable: Experience in project management and quality service improvement.
• Essential: Significant experience in senior management within the healthcare sector, with a proven track record in financial management and achieving healthcare targets.
• Desirable: Experience in surgical services and reporting on complex performance management information.

Knowledge and Skills

• Essential: Strong understanding of health service management, clinical governance, and information governance.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and make informed decisions.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and a commitment to team performance and continuous improvement.

Benefits

• Salary between £57,528 and £64,750 per annum.
• Permanent, full-time position with flexible working options.
