We are currently seeking a Business Security Services Director to play a pivotal role in safeguarding WPP’s information assets within your designated business area. This position serves as a crucial link between WPP Digital Security & Risk Management and the business, ensuring that global security strategies and standards are effectively implemented locally. This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Manager looking to advance into a broader leadership position or an early-stage Director aiming to enhance their impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary contact for all Digital Security matters in your region.
• Collaborate with business leadership and WPP Digital Security to align security efforts with business goals.
• Act as the liaison between the business and WPP Digital Security, ensuring business needs are integrated into security strategy development.
• Work with the Enterprise Technology and Technology Compliance teams to ensure compliance with IT standards.
• Advocate for business security needs in the development of WPP security policies and initiatives.
• Develop and deliver tailored security awareness programs in collaboration with the Digital Security Awareness team.
• Promote a culture of security awareness and engagement across all levels of WPP and its Operating Companies.
• Identify and assess business security risks, integrating them into the broader WPP risk management framework.
• Ensure compliance with WPP policies and regulatory requirements through collaboration with the Governance team.
• Support client security requirements and assist in preparing security documentation for clients.
• Evaluate and manage the security posture of business vendors to ensure compliance with WPP standards.
• Ensure security is integrated into product development and deployment in collaboration with the Digital Security Product & AI Security team.
• Oversee investigations and data acquisition processes in accordance with WPP policies.
• Coordinate responses to security incidents, working closely with the Cyber Incident Response team.
• Ensure compliance with local and international security regulations and standards.
• Provide regular updates to the Global CISO and business leadership on security initiatives and incidents.
• Develop and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the Digital Security program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in information security, particularly in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of global and regional security standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Experience in a global, multi-national organization.
• Proven track record in risk management, incident response, and security policy implementation.
• Demonstrated experience in working with global teams and functions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to align security initiatives with business goals.
• Proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
