BI Developer Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join a well-established organization in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. This role is pivotal in enhancing the company’s data capabilities and delivering high-quality reporting, analytics, and data warehouse solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop SQL Server data warehouses to support business intelligence initiatives.
• Build and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Create engaging reporting solutions utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI.
• Support data analysis efforts across the organization to ensure accurate and actionable insights.
• Ensure data integrity and manage controls within the business intelligence systems.
• Promote the adoption of business intelligence tools in various departments within the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience with SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and Power BI.
• Advanced skills in SQL Server, including T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Experience in designing and building data warehouses and star schemas.
• Strong ETL experience using SQL Server SSIS.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including knowledge of DAX and Power Query.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio and Microsoft BI development tools.
• Understanding of source control systems and deployment processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
