AI Security & Governance Workstream Lead Overview

We are looking for an experienced AI Security & Governance Workstream Lead to join a significant cyber security transformation initiative. This role is crucial for shaping and implementing the organization’s AI security and governance strategy, ensuring responsible and compliant adoption of AI technologies across a complex and distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the AI Security and Governance workstream from its inception to integration into business-as-usual operations, defining the scope, plans, and key milestones.
• Establish AI governance frameworks and policies, along with creating an enterprise inventory that encompasses models, tools, and data flows.
• Implement security controls for AI, monitor associated risks, and ensure compliance with emerging regulations such as the EU AI Act.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to achieve desired outcomes and embed sustainable practices.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience leading complex cyber, technology, or AI-related projects in large, distributed organizations.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML, agentic systems, AI security risks, and data governance principles.
• Experience in designing governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory compliance measures.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and program delivery skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
