Your Role

As a participant in the Graduate Talent Program, you will:

• Assist in the execution and delivery of projects related to Artificial Intelligence, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning.
• Actively contribute to the implementation, documentation, and communication of innovative solutions that address clients’ business challenges.

Your Team

The Group Internal Consulting (GIC) team at UBS is a dynamic and diverse unit comprising over 500 professionals across five regions. As part of the Group Chief Operating Office (GCOO), GIC collaborates closely with all divisions to drive transformation and support the firm in achieving its strategic goals. The team is committed to delivering high-quality services and offers a diverse portfolio of projects, empowering consultants to shape their career paths.

Your Expertise

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Graduation between September 2025 and September 2027.
• Completion of your degree and all graduation requirements by the program start date.
• No more than two years of full-time work experience.
• A minimum of a 2.1 (UK grading system) or equivalent in your first undergraduate degree.
• Foundational skills in Python, Git, APIs, and writing clean, testable code.
• Familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn is desirable.
• Understanding of data preparation, supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and basic statistics.
• Experience with scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow through coursework or projects.
• Basic knowledge of prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) is advantageous.
• Understanding of AI agents, tool calling, workflow orchestration, and state management.
• Awareness of cloud platforms, Docker, model deployment, monitoring, data privacy, and responsible AI principles.
• Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated foundational knowledge and practical learning through university projects, internships, hackathons, or personal projects.

Your Program

The Graduate Talent Program lasts 18 months and is designed to equip you with the skills necessary for career advancement. It begins with an introduction to the firm, followed by professional and technical training, and core skills development in consulting. You will have opportunities to learn from colleagues and participate in rotations to broaden your experience.
