    ORA-01083: value of parameter “string” is inconsistent with that of other instances

    Reason for the Error

    The value of the given parameter is required to be the same for all instances in the cluster database configuration. ROW_LOCKING and SERIALIZABLE are 2 examples.

    Solution

    Change the value of the parameter in INIT.ORA file to match that of other cluster database instances.
