An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established small animal practice located in Hertfordshire. This practice boasts a loyal client base and is entering a new phase with the addition of a new Partner, making it an ideal time for a new member to contribute significantly to its growth.

Role Overview

The position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with the expectation of working one weekend in six and sharing bank holiday duties. The successful candidate will be expected to take sole charge of cases, thus a confident and experienced all-rounder is essential. The role will involve a diverse range of cases in medicine, surgery, and dentistry, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the practice’s development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver veterinary care for small animals, including routine surgeries and medical procedures.
• Manage a varied caseload that includes medicine, surgery, and dentistry.
• Work independently with sole charge responsibilities.
• Collaborate with a supportive veterinary network while enjoying a degree of autonomy.

Requirements

• Must be a confident all-rounder with experience in veterinary practice.
• Ability to handle routine surgical and medical procedures effectively.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week, including 1 in 6 weekends and a fair share of bank holidays.
