As an Undergraduate Data Analyst at BAE Systems, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into valuable business insights while collaborating with various stakeholders in the Air sector. This position is based in Warton/Samlesbury, Lancashire, and is part of a 12-month placement program starting in June 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to convert data into actionable insights.
- Deliver analytical outputs and visualizations to assist in decision-making processes.
- Utilize data analysis and visualization tools, particularly Tableau, to support business decisions.
- Identify, collect, migrate, manage, clean, and aggregate data from various systems for analytical studies.
- Manipulate and link different datasets to derive meaningful insights.
- Summarize and present data findings and conclusions in formats suitable for stakeholders.
- Maintain existing dashboards and seek opportunities for their enhancement.
- Work closely with data engineers to articulate data requirements for seamless product delivery.
Qualifications
- Must be on track to achieve at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, or Artificial Intelligence.
- Experience with data analytics, statistics, programming, and artificial intelligence is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Tableau is essential, while experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) is preferred.
