As a Technical Leader in Infrastructure and Operations at Google, you will play a pivotal role in guiding projects and influencing a distributed team of engineers. Your responsibilities will include ensuring alignment across teams on goals, managing project priorities, and overseeing the development of large-scale software solutions.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, along with a minimum of 8 years in software development. Additionally, candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in testing and launching software products, and 5 years in building developer tools that improve developer velocity and code quality. Experience in software design and architecture for at least 3 years, as well as 2 years in a technical leadership or management role, is also required.

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms, and 3 years in a technical leadership role leading project teams.

The Platforms and Devices Engineering Infrastructure and Operations (PDEIO) Web on Android team is crucial within the Android ecosystem, focusing on making the operating system easy to modify, reliable, and efficient for shipping. This team collaborates closely with the Android Framework WebView team to ensure a fast, stable, and developer-friendly web platform on Android.

In this role, you will be expected to write and review code, ensuring best practices are followed in AI, testability, efficiency, and accuracy. You will also be part of a culture that values automation and AI-driven tooling solutions, enabling developers to build, test, and ship code confidently.
