We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Verification Engineer to join our Solution Engineering division in Cambridge. This role involves leading verification activities for complex IP and subsystem developments within Arm-based SoCs. You will be responsible for driving verification strategies, guiding project execution, and collaborating closely with architecture, design, and verification teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Lead verification activities for complex IP and subsystem developments from planning through to signoff.
- Collaborate with architects and RTL designers to understand specifications, microarchitecture, and verification requirements.
- Define and implement verification strategies across the project team.
- Develop and enhance verification environments, including stimulus generation, checkers, scoreboards, coverage models, and reusable verification infrastructure.
- Own verification plans, test plans, coverage models, and signoff criteria.
- Drive functional and code coverage closure and ensure verification completeness.
- Lead the debugging of complex design and verification issues, coordinating resolution across teams where required.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to verification engineers within the project.
- Contribute to methodology improvements, reusable verification components, and verification best practices across the organization.
- Collaborate effectively with globally distributed engineering teams to deliver project objectives.
Required Skills and Experience
- A Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience in IP, subsystem, or SoC verification.
- Extensive experience with systemverilog UVM and/or other industry-standard verification methodologies.
- Strong experience in developing constrained-random verification environments and reusable verification components.
- Proven experience defining verification strategies, verification plans, and coverage closure approaches.
- Good understanding of the complete verification lifecycle from requirements analysis through verification signoff.
- Experience leading verification activities for complex projects or major functional areas.
- Understanding of SoC verification, including software-driven verification flows.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or similar.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
