As a Staff Software Engineer within the Google Cloud Generative AI Blackbelt team, you will play a crucial role in helping customers harness the power of AI and machine learning. This position involves working on significant projects that are vital to Google’s operations, with the flexibility to transition between teams and projects as the business evolves.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to identify and evaluate business opportunities while addressing key technical objections from customers.
- Develop strategies to overcome technical challenges and enhance customer adoption of Google Cloud solutions.
- Provide expertise in AI to support technical relationships with customers, including managing product briefings and creating demonstrations.
- Work closely with product management to prioritize solutions that impact customer engagement with Google Cloud.
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, and application infrastructures necessary for comprehensive Google Cloud solutions.
- Assist developers and enterprises in utilizing Google’s Generative Language APIs to create their own AI products.
- Travel to customer locations, conferences, and related events as required.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
- At least 8 years of experience in software development.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine learning design and infrastructure, specifically in architecting Generative AI applications and agentic systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in leading technical projects and providing guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with production-level systems.
