An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse to join our older adults ward, focusing on the care of older individuals with mental health conditions, including dementia. Our facility provides 24-hour care within a specially designed assessment and therapy unit, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to enhance individual recovery. We emphasize person-centered care and engage in various activities to support both our clients and their caregivers.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee the assessment, planning, and implementation of care using a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach.
- Conduct clinical risk assessments for clients under care.
- Provide effective advice and guidance, involving clients in the decision-making process regarding their care.
- Manage the admission, assessment, treatment, and discharge processes for individuals.
- Act as the named nurse for individuals, developing and overseeing their care plans.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must hold a Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) qualification or equivalent.
- Recent experience in the relevant specialty is essential.
- Knowledge of the nursing process, Essence of Care, and the Mental Health Act 1983 is required.

- Ability to meet all contractual obligations, including a 24-hour rotational shift pattern.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, innovation, and effectiveness under stress.
- Must be reliable, conscientious, diplomatic, and a good team player.
- Caring, empathetic, analytical, and methodical skills are essential.
