Arm is seeking a highly skilled Staff Firmware Engineer to join our Agile firmware development team in Cambridge. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge mobile GPU technology and utilize your technical and leadership skills to advance your career. You will collaborate closely with multi-disciplined engineering teams across Arm’s European design centers, maintaining constant communication with both software and hardware engineers as well as architects.
Your primary responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and improving the existing firmware codebase while guiding the engineering approach taken by the team. You will gain insights into the design and operation of modern GPU hardware and contribute to adding new features to evolving components. Daily tasks will involve participating in all phases of firmware development, conducting design and code reviews, mentoring engineers, collaborating with other teams, and assisting in hardware validation through firmware tests.

Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in C programming and designing embedded applications.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Deep understanding of embedded systems and computer architecture.
- Excellent teamwork skills, self-motivation, and a focus on results.
- Organized and analytical work approach.
- Experience with version control and bug tracking.
- Desirable: Firmware development for MCU platforms, team leadership, understanding of RTOS for MCUs, memory subsystems technology, and Linux.
