Responsibilities
- Transform Goldman Sachs by applying your technical expertise as a software engineer.
- Collaborate with embedded engineering teams and business partners across trading, sales, asset management, banking, and finance to develop and automate innovative solutions.
- Join core engineering teams to enhance business operations by providing reliable and scalable platforms for data engineering, machine learning, networking, and developer tooling.
- Work alongside UI/UX designers, data scientists, and cloud engineers in an agile environment to tackle new challenges and learn continuously.
- Develop cutting-edge software and platforms that facilitate rapid transactions and provide real-time access to critical deal information.
- Process billions of data points daily to inform market insights and strategies.
- Engage in backend engineering tasks, focusing on micro-service development using Java and Spring, while interacting with MongoDB.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with Java, Spring, and NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB.
- Experience with micro-services architecture, Java deployments, and DevOps tools like GitLab.
- Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycle best practices.
- Ability to meet goals and milestones while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse teams.
- Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as a team player within global teams.
- Self-motivated with exceptional time management and organizational skills.
