Join Arm’s Solution Engineering division as a SOC Design Engineer in Cambridge, where you will play a vital role in developing System on Chips (SoCs) for various applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge IP products from Arm and other vendors, contributing to the design and verification of innovative systems.
Responsibilities
- Integrate complex IP components such as CPU clusters, PCIe, DDR, and other high-speed I/O IP for SoCs.
- Draft micro-architecture specifications, develop RTL designs, troubleshoot bugs, and conduct design checks.
- Collaborate with the verification team to analyze test plans and resolve design issues.
- Assist in backend implementation by contributing to floor planning, setting constraints, and achieving timing closure.
- Enhance design methodologies utilized by the team.
- Improve design quality standards, metrics, and inspections throughout various stages of the build process.
- Mentor and support team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Aid Project Management with planning, scheduling, and other related activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in designing and integrating subsystems for PCIe, DDR/LPDDR, HBM, UCIe, and Ethernet.
- Expertise in RTL design for complex SoC development using Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
- Strong skills in static design checks (Lint/CDC/RDC), synthesis, timing analysis, and power management.
- Familiarity with all design phases including concept, specification, implementation, power/performance analysis, optimization, testing, documentation, and support.
- Ability to produce detailed specifications and documentation for complex designs.
- Knowledge of shell scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, or Python.
