We are collaborating with a prominent global consultancy that is on the lookout for experienced Senior Java Engineers to join a specialized payments engineering team. This team is responsible for delivering large-scale transformation programs within the banking sector. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on intricate payment processing platforms for major financial institutions, contributing to the modernization of essential systems through cloud technologies, contemporary engineering practices, and advanced payment frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise-scale payment processing solutions.
• Build cloud-native applications utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
• Work within AWS environments to create resilient and scalable platforms.
• Support the implementation of modern payment solutions and integrations.
• Develop event-driven services using messaging technologies such as Kafka.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Engage closely with banking clients on critical transformation initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven commercial experience in Java development.
• Expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architectures.
• Experience working in AWS cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging solutions.
• Strong understanding of ISO 20022 payment standards.
• Hands-on experience with the ICON IPF framework.
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
